The Green Bay Packers went Quay Walker with their first pick in the NFL Draft and have decided to close out their Thursday night by selecting another defensive player.
After the Packers addressed the defense with the Quay Walker pick, Green Bay decided to keep padding their defense by selecting Devonte Wyatt with the No. 28 overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Wyatt, 6’3 and 315 pounds, a teammate of fellow Packers first-rounders Quay Walker and Eric Stokes, played 49 games with Georgia and recorded 113 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks, three pass deflections, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
He was named to the All-SEC first team and Associated Press All-SEC second team in his final season with the Bulldogs. Also, he recorded 27 quarterbacks pressures and had a team-high six tackles, including 1.5 sacks, and three QB pressures in a win over No. 8 Arkansas.
In the early and mid-first round, wide receivers were a hot commodity as Drake London (Falcons, 8), Garrett Wilson (Jets, 10), Chris Olave (Saints, 11), Jameson Williams (Lions, 12), Jahan Dotson (Commanders, 16) and Treylon Burks (Titans, 18) were all selected. Then, there were trades that involved Marquise “Hollywood” Brown heading to the Arizona Cardinals and AJ Brown going to the Philadelphia Eagles.
