The Green Bay Packers have 11 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft and they have decided to start their draft class by selecting a defensive game-changer.
Although the Packers have 11 picks in this year’s draft, two of them will be coming from the first round on Thursday night. The first selection was made with the No. 22 overall pick as Green Bay selected linebacker Quay Walker out of Georgia.

Walker, 6’4, 240-pounds played in 52 games and recorded 137 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, three pass deflections and one fumble recovery.
In his senior season, he helped Georgia capture the 2021 National Championship. Also, he recorded career highs with 13 tackles vs. Florida, two tackles for loss vs. Auburn and six QB pressures vs. Alabama.
The Packers will bolster their linebacker room after re-signing All-Pro linebacker De’Vondre Campbell to a five-year, $50 million contract. Other linebackers on the roster include Ty Summers, Krys Barnes, Ray Wilborn and Isaiah McDuffie.
Before the Packers could make their selection, they were a run of wide receivers: Drake London (Falcons, 8), Garrett Wilson (Jets, 10), Chris Olave (Saints, 11), Jameson Williams (Lions, 12), Jahan Dotson (Commanders, 16) and Treylon Burks (Titans, 18). There were trades that involved Marquise “Hollywood” Brown heading to the Arizona Cardinals and AJ Brown going to the Philadelphia Eagles.
