The Green Bay Packers added St. Brown to the Active Roster to open a Practice Squad spot for newly added CB Quinton Dunbar
Yesterday, the Green Bay Packers added CB Quinton Dunbar to the practice squad. At the time, a corresponding move hadn’t been announced since the Practice Squad was at the 16-player limit.
The team announced said move today, adding WR Equanimeous St. Brown to the active roster.

The move comes as something of a surprise as St. Brown did not have a good game this past Sunday in Cincinnati.
That said, the team was out of Practice Squad Gameday Elevations for St. Brown this season and perhaps this was their move in response to Detroit probing around for WR help with Quintez Cephus going down with a broken collarbone.
St. Brown is perhaps the team’s most athletic wide receiver and we did see flashes of his upside down the stretch of the 2020 season.
This move puts the roster at 6 WRs on the active roster; Marquez Valdes-Scantling is eligible to return from IR next week. We’ll see if he’s ready to go or if this move means he needs more time to rest his injured hamstring
