The season is over. What a cruel way for it to end. Instead of re-hashing the Green Bay Packers’ devastating loss, I am going a different route.
Well…. that sucked. The Green Bay Packers felt like a team of destiny. Instead, it’s a feeling that is all too familiar to us by this point. They came up short in yet another NFC Championship Game.
By this point you’ve heard all the analysis and read all the hot takes that were sure to come after a showdown that featured Aaron Rodgers against Tom Brady.
Instead of going through everything, instead I am writing a thank you letter to everyone that was involved with the 2020 season and Game on Wisconsin
First and foremost, I would like to thank the Green Bay Packers. Without them, none of this would be possible.
Coming into the season, I think the expectations for this team were mixed to say the least. I don’t know that any of us expected the magic carpet ride that turned into a 13-3 season and a home NFC Championship Game.
They gave us thrill after thrill. This season, while not the ending we wanted, was special.
Next, I would like to thank everyone on staff at Game On.
All of you have been wonderful all season. When the ideas for this began to formulate back in March this was nothing but a dream. All of you made this a reality all season. We fought through some obstacles, but I don’t think we can look at our first season any other way but as a massive success.
I know firsthand all the hard work that all of you put in to make this site what it is today. I am eternally grateful for that.
Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for believing in this site. Thank you for believing in what it is, and what we all hope that it can be.
Thank you to Jamaal Williams and his wonderful family for hosting a show with us this season. Thank you for allowing us to help your charity give a Merry Christmas to so many families in need.
Thank you to all of our guests that took time out of their busy schedules to join one of our shows this season.
I would like to thank everyone that has followed along. As I often like to quote the great Brent Smith of Shinedown. You are the audience. You decide who stays and who goes. I am forever thankful that you all allowed us to stay.
We have met so many great people through this site since we started back on July 20th. I truly didn’t know what direction it was going to go, but thanks to all of you, we have continued to grow.
You, the people who watch, read, like, subscribe etc. are the ones that continue to give us the motivation to grow within ourselves and make our content even better.
Without you, we are just writing in a diary or talking into an echo chamber. Selfishly, I don’t want to do that any longer.
What has happened this season truly was a dream come true, and I speak for the entire team at Game On when I say we owe a lot of that to you.
Thank you for helping make this dream a reality.
The good news, is even with this season reaching its end, we are not going anywhere. We are going to recap the end of the season.
As you know the NFL is a 365-day-per-year operation. We are fully committed to providing you with content through free agency, the draft, and whatever this crazy offseason may look like.
Some of the faces will change, but the commitment to excellence will remain the same.
Here is hoping this time next year instead of writing a eulogy and a thank you letter, I’m writing a story about the Packers finally getting over the hump, and into the Super Bowl.
