Green Bay Packers have acquired Randall Cobb from the Houston Texans on the day Aaron Rodgers shows up for training camp.
On Monday, June 26, Rodgers and the Packers were able to come to an agreement to get the reigning MVP back in Green Bay. It was rumored that after figuring out the logistics of the contract, Rodgers wanted the organization to bring back Cobb.
According to a source close to Chris Brockman of the Rich Eisen Show, “Cobb to the Packers is a ‘done deal’ and an announcement should be coming soon.”
Two minutes after the report, Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks posted a tweet about Cobb and how he’s going back home.

Shortly after, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network confirmed that the Packers are working on a trade with the Texans to reunite Rodgers and Cobb. However, it has not been reported what the Texans will be getting from the Packers.
The next day, Cobb announced on his Twitter that he’ll be coming back to Green Bay. The trade will become official once the Packers gain the cap room.

Cobb, 30, recorded 5.524 yards and 41 touchdowns with the Packers. Outside of Green Bay, he has spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Texans, but has totaled 1,269 yards and six touchdowns.
The Texans are trading Cobb after acquiring Chicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller. The former second-round pick will look to fill Cobb’s role.
-UPDATE-
Per Tom Pelissero, the Cobb trade has been finalized and details of the move have been released. The Green Bay Packers send their 6th Round pick in next year’s draft and Houston will pick up $3 million of Cobb’s salary to make the money work for the Packers.
