As we shuttle into the second week of the Packers preseason games, we’ve got just the cocktail to enjoy that’s a nod to the city of New York and the Jets…the Queens Cocktail!

The New York Jets will propel into Lambeau Field to take on the Packers on Saturday in both teams’ second preseason game. Since we’re still in the middle of summer, I couldn’t think of a better cocktail to make than one that uses gin and pineapple juice, two of my favorite summer cocktail ingredients that will make you feel like you’re airborne.

I decided to use Aviation gin because it’s a first-class quality gin (plus I really just wanted to make the Jets-Aviation connection). In so many words, this recipe is basically a sweet take on a plane and simple dry martini.

Now put your seat backs up and let’s get flying!

  • 1/2 oz dry vermouth
  • 3/4 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz pineapple juice

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until ice cold.
  3. Pour into cold martini glass

Easy peasy pineapple squeezy! The perfect drink to sip whether you’re hanging with your crew or jetting around New York.

Go Pack Go!

Cheers, Cheeseheads!
