What a weekend! Not just for fantasy football but for the NFL in general.

Thirteen missed PATs on the weekend sets an NFL record. The Packers were victims of the kicking woes and barely eeked out a W vs the Bengals. They managed to overcome some challenges. A few of us in our Game On Wisconsin fantasy football league can’t say the same.

Dan Kotnik (Bishop Sycamore All-Stars) VS Brendan Dzwierzynski (Final Dumpers)

Dan has been on a roll with two straight wins and over 140 points in both games. This week his RBs came through in a big way. Chubb and Ekeler combined for 4 TDs 66.9 points.

Brendan got dumped on this week. He couldn’t overcome Dan’s 140-point total. Kamara had his best game of the season but it wasn’t enough to get past the single digit point totals from Moore, Waller, and CEH.

Brennen Rupp (Bad Juju) VS Ryan Bowman (Canadian Bacon)

Bold move by Brennen to leave his tight end slot open this week. While I’ve seen players finis with a negative total, it isn’t very common. I’m sure the gamescript was to avoid that negative total. Or Brennen just forgot to adjust his lineup. Either way, it paid off as Brennen finished with a W. Sutton and Harris both going over 20 didn’t hurt.

Another week, another lackluster performance from Ryan Bowman. He’s on a 4-game skid right now and has the least amount of Points For in the league. The front office may be staring down a very difficult decision.

Matt Bove (Go Balls Deep) VS Sanjay Gowdar-Murthy (Token Brown Guy)

Bove’s squad has been performing well overall but the Ws have been hard to come by. They got it done this week with a string of solid performances and massive performances from Henry and Jackson

Our Token Brown Guy took a hit this week. After 2-straight wins, Sanjay had to eat an L. Metcalf and Chase played well enough but a late inactive from McCaffrey and an uneventful day from Tonyan ultimately toppled any opportunity Sanjay may have had.

fantasy football

Andrew Mertins (Winston’s Crab Legs) VS Isaac Greig (Complicated Fellas)

Winston’s Crab Legs had a solid outing with big numbers from Herbert, Taylor, and Hunt. Herbert had an especially impressive performance. Mertins sits alone atop the Lambeau division after breaking the tie with the Complicated Fellas.

Speaking of the Complicated Fellas, who the hell is running this team?! That’s two straight losses for my Fellas, finishing both outings with under 80 points. The phrase shape up of ship out applies here, as changes certainly lie on the horizon.

fantasy football

Greg Williams (Hide and Zeke) VS Daire Carragher (Marcedes Lewis and the News)

God damn!! What a week from Hide and Zeke. Only his kicker and his defense finished in single digits, while 6 of his players went for over 20. Greg is first in the Lombardi division and second in the league in Points For.

Daire never stood a chance. Even with big games from Mike Evans and Antonio Gibson, and just under 140 points he was still almost 80 points behind Greg.

Move of the Week

I usuallly use this section to highlight an intelligent move that brings positive results to the “field”. But today, I’m doing the opposite.

Shame on you all for allowing Alexander Mattison to stay on waivers this weekend – especially on me considering that Dalvin Cook is on my roster. Mattison went off for over 150 total yards, 7 receptions, a TD, and 26.3 fantasy points. Pretty much everybody besides Greg could’ve used that this weekend.
